Growing up as a child we’ve had numerous amounts of pets and my brother and I once had rabbits. We had two that we kept in the back of our house in Bono in a cage. Now for some odd reason just about every animal that we own seems to be very well fed and larger than it normally should be. Unlike the rabbits that we had at my home though there is a man in Spain who raises rabbits that grow as large as a lamb and weight up to 15 pounds. In fact there are officials for the Valencia Agricultural Research Institute there in Spain who are starting to breed these large rabbits as a means of cheap and healthy alternative red meat. These rabbits were once thought to become going extinct in the 1970’s but are now being saved. Below is a picture of one of the rabbits.
